about
This track was taken from the 4 track demo "Sunrise" which was recorded at home on a strict time limit prior to our UK tour with Sweden's "A Silent Escape" (formerly MTV award winning Union Square). Since then We have been redoing the mixes and mastering with a view to rereleasing some of the demo track (including this one) in much higher quality.
We will be recording our first "pro studio" single in early 2011 in studio Haga, Sweden, by Christian Svedin, where it should then be being sent off to be mastered at Studio Fredman (Bring Me The Horizon, In Flames, Arch Enemy etc)

Lyrics:
I climb to the surface, as you pull me down
Although the water's reached my neck, you're not gonna see me drown
You can say what you want, and I'll just walk away
Don't you dare pray for me, because I don't need to be saved
And I can feel your own guilt, bearing down on me
(because I'm not like you)
And though you've locked the gates,
I will claim what's meant for me
Holding my future in front of me
(Just so you can see)
Who I am, where I want to be
(Leaving you behind)
I find, the more I achieve, the less you like me
Cast aside your envy
and see me for who I am.
Why can't you treat me like someone that you love?
Because I choose to look ahead, when you choose to look above
Take one hard look, do you even know me at all?
I know my faith isn't strong, but you're not gonna see me fall.
And I can feel your own guilt, bearing down on me
(because I'm not like you)
And though you've locked the gates,
I will claim what's meant for me
Holding my future in front of me
(Just so you can see)
Who I am, where I want to be
(Leaving you behind)
I find, the more I achieve, the less you like me
Cast aside your envy
and see me for who I am.
(Solos)
Holding my future in front of me
(Just so you can see)
Who I am, where I want to be
(Leaving you behind)
I find, the more I achieve, the less you like me
Cast aside your envy
and see me for who I am.
(and see me for who I am)
